What a wonderful Uncle and friend! Now with the perspective of hindsight I can more clearly grasp, comprehend, and appreciate the time we spent together working on the house. Countless times after a day of work we were able to relax in the penthouse and talk and be around each other. You\'re always so calm and peaceful in tone and manner. I appreciated those times together then and realize now how blessed I was to have you in my life. Time and life caused a greater geographic distance, however I always knew that the next time I\'d see you we\'d embrace in a sincere hug and that when we asked each other how life was going, we both were genuinely interested because we had a great bond and honest love for each other, and that it would feel as familiar as if we talked every day. You have been a positively infectious love and character for many many people, you are a special soul that I value greatly. I\'m deeply saddened that I will never have the opportunity to hug you and ask you how life is going again on this earth. Hopefully I can play my cards as well as you did and meet you again on the other other side. Love you Bud, rest in peace.

Dearest brother Martel,\r\n\r\nYou know how we�??re told we should write letters to those we love, while they are still alive? Well, we blew that one. Sorry that this is delivered while you are sitting next (and hopefully) IN the pearly gates�?? working on your biggest project yet. The fine artist and craftsman that you are, we are sure you have quite an assignment.\r\n\r\nWe just want you to know how much we enjoyed the times we spent with you. You sacrificed many months to transform our home in San Francisco and added many fine details and touches that have made our home more unique and lovely, like the hand carved daisy�??s that became our wood fence. You even cut your teeth on a leaded glass window for our house. We honor you each day. Especially when we look up at our ceiling and try to find our names you spelled out in the layers of paint. It�??s quite fun. You always left us your beauty marks�??\r\n\r\nWe love your gentle manner, your smile, and your sense of humor. You�??ve always been gracious to us.\r\n\r\nBob especially loved the time you were showing off your skills in num-chucks and you nearly knocked yourself out! There wasn�??t a place on your body you didn�??t hit! We laughed so hard.\r\n\r\nWe are sure you are enjoying your time in heaven.
