Donna L. Anderson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

04/03/1928- 03/28/2016\r\n \r\n\r\nDonna Bollwinkel Anderson 17) left this world on March 28, 2016. She was born on April 3, 1928 to John Murray and Erma Bollwinkel. She grew up in American Falls, Idaho and attended school there. She played piano, sang and acted in school plays. She was Salutatory speaker when she graduated from American Falls High School in 1946. She won a scholarship to BYU where she met the love of her life, Nyal Anderson.\r\n\r\nThey were married January 28, 1948 in Salt Lake City. They remained happily married until his death on October 19, 2015.\r\n\r\nThey started Beehive Antiques in 1955 and met many interesting people over the years that they ran the business. Donna was gregarious and loved to hear their stories and tell her own.\r\n\r\nMom raised three children, the youngest, mentally disabled. When she saw that there were few educational options for Lindsey, she joined ARC of Utah and other parent groups to lobby for public education. When this was accomplished they went on to lobby for other necessary programs for their children. The core group started calling themselves \"The Lolits; Little Old Ladies In Tennis Shoes.\"\r\n\r\nDonna is survived by two children, Mikel Anderson and Julie Patterson and their families, two brothers, Ted & Barry Bollwinkel, one sister, Jan Wheeler, and their respective families.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 5:00- 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South Salt Lake City.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\"I\'ve had a good life and I\'ve never been bored!\" Donna Anderson\r\n\r\n
