Elaine Anne Rizzo Pea
August 8, 1947 - February 20, 2022
Elaine Anne Rizzo Pea, affectionately known as “Mom”, “Grandma”, “Gigi” and “Ms. Pea” left this earth surrounded by those who loved and adored her to join her soulmate and the love of her life, Judge, on Sunday, February 20th, 2022. Elaine was born to Frank and Rose Rizzo on August 8th, 1947 in Camden, New Jersey. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a smile that was infectious and would always light up a room she came into. Her favorite term of endearment was to call those she loved, and strangers alike, “honey”. She had a giving heart and had life experiences and advice to share with everyone. She ALWAYS put others before herself and never asked for anything in return. She used her pastimes of cooking, crocheting, and planning events to bring joy to others’ lives. She believed that if you put good out in the universe, blessings and goodness would come back to you tenfold. She was a surrogate mother and grandmother to so many! She was a believer in passing down old Italian traditions and legacies. Her Pizzelle’s, Spaghetti and Lasagna were to die for! If you were to ask her what her favorite past time was, it would be spending time with and doting over her grandchildren (Xavier, Myles, Frankie and Lainey). Elaine adored them and loved them more than anything in this world. She prided herself on attending their school, social and sporting events and sitting in the front row. She was truly their #1 fan and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Elaine was also popular with their school mates...she made the best treat bags for their classes! While her loss will be felt forever by her family and friends, we find comfort in knowing that she’s up in heaven sitting on the front porch (with green turf) sharing laughs again with our Dad and the 600 West crew (Nana, Grandpa, Bob, Rosie, and Mrs. Hervey). Elaine leaves behind numerous family and friends that loved her. She is survived by her daughter’s Lorraine (Demetrius) Carlton, Pam (Miguel) Mares, Son Jerry (Rose) Pea, daughters, Denise (Reggie) and Debra (Steve) Pea. Her loves, “her boys” Xavier, Myles, Frankie, JP, Carter and Gabe and her beautiful granddaughter, Elena “Lainey”. Cousins Josephine (Bob) Turbyfill and Charles (Lisa). Her nieces Suzie (Gary) Buxton, Christina McCaffrey, Nephews John Rizzo and Chuck McCaffrey. 8 grandchildren,16 great grandchildren. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Judge Pea. Her parents Frank and Rose Rizzo. Her brother Harry Rizzo, and Sisters Anne Porter and Rose McCaffrey. Her niece MaryAnne Porter and her granddaughters Ella and Equilla. The family would like to send heartfelt thank yous to the IHC Respitory ICU team for taking amazing care of her. Her therapist Tammylin Bayless and Aid Victoria Carrithers. Her second family, the tenants and Staff at Incline @ Anthem and all the friends and family who sent warm thoughts and condolences on her behalf. A Rosary for Elaine will be held @ 5:30 PM, followed by a Memorial from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 18th @ Neil O’Donnell Funeral Home 372 E 100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.
