Eva F. Hernandez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Sister, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones.\r\n\r\nEva was born in La Rosita, Texas on November 30, 1938 to Santiago and Antonia Farias. She married Alberto Hernandez and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she raised her family. Eva loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always there with open arms and support. She loved spending time with her family and tending her grandchildren along with many other children.\r\n\r\nShe loved music, especially Elvis Presley and Freddy Fender. She loved to dance, play bingo, card-board games and puzzles. Most of all she could never go without her DIET COKE. Eva attended West Side Senior Center for several years where she met several dear friends; she learned many different crafts; painting was her favorite. She sang with the choir and volunteered her help.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her sister Sabina Cantu, and her children Estella Aguirre, Fernando Hernandez, Gabriel (Bobbie) Hernandez, Leticia (Doug) Dardon, Kristan (Juan) Hernandez-Martinez, along with many nieces & nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eva is preceded in death by her husband Alberto Sr., son Alberto Jr., daughter Belinda, and sister Natividad Ramon, and parents.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The rosary will be recited 10:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church 1058 W 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT. Committal Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave and T Street.\r\n\r\nSpecial thanks to IHC Hospice and Neighborhood Senior Center for all their care.
