Hilbrand S. Nak, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City February 28th, 2022. Born December 15th, 1922 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. He married Alice (Posthuma), who preceded him in death. They were married on February 28th, 1946, and in 1948 they immigrated to the United States, starting a new life in Salt Lake City. Hill loved his work and spent 60 years working in his upholstery shop and providing for his family. He spent the summers at Bear Lake sailing, fishing, and relaxing at the cabin. The winters, bowling, going to the gym, and cruises with Alice. He is survived by his children; Charles (Connie), Mary Peffer (Brent), Delila Higham (Steven), eight grandchildren, 10 great grand children, and 1 great- great grandchild. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday March 4th, 12:00 PM at Saint Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South. Interment service at Mount Calvary Cemetery, at 4th Avenue & ‘T’ Street will follow church services. A viewing and visitation will be held Thursday March 3rd, 6:00-8:00 PM at Neil O’ Donnell Funeral Home, 372 East 100 South.
