Nellie Martinez, incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on December 13, 2018 at the age of 90. Nellie was born on March 16, 1928 in Antonito, Colorado to Celedon Archuleta and Salame Archuleta. She married her lifelong sweetheart Tony Martinez and they were married for a beautiful 58 years. Tony and Nellie exemplified the meaning of true love and strived to demonstrate the importance of family. Nellie had a genuine passion for taking care of others. She cared for all of her grandchildren, created an intricate bond with each of them, and had a true impact on their lives that they will be forever grateful for. Throughout her life she maintained a kind hearted and tender demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love and faith. We are truly blessed to have such a beautiful soul in our lives and Nellie will be missed by all who knew her.\r\nWhile we are mourning the loss of our beautiful mother and grandmother, her parents, husband and son are rejoicing to meet her in Paradise.\r\nNellie is preceded in death by her parents Celedon and Salame Archuleta, husband Tony Martinez, son Eddie Martinez, and sister Rose Lucero. She is survived by her children Tom (Martha), Mary (John), Theresa (Kim), Leroy, Mario, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A viewing will be held on Monday December 17th from 6-8pm at the Neil O\'Donnell & Sons Mortuary 172 East 100 South SLC, UT 84111) A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 18th at 11:00 am. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 1058 W 400 S.
