Stephen A. Goddard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

1987 - 2018\r\n \r\nStephen Anthony Goddard, a chef, gardener, boxer, rockhound, travel and outdoor enthusiast, died July 3, 2018, in Murray, Utah. He was 30.\r\n Stephen was born July 19, 1987, in Salt Lake City, the son of Mark and Camille Goddard. He played football at Judge Memorial High School, graduating in 2006. He also attended the University of Utah and Art Institute of Culinary Arts.\r\n A proud, fun-loving Catholic Italian, Stephen was obsessed to take all things to the nth degree - be it fast cars, shooting, snowmobiling, water/snow and jet skiing, He loved nature with all its wonders and reading all kinds of books that would take a discussion into the metaphysical, nutrition, or whacky stuff - like "the world really isn't round."\r\n He had that same zeal for those he loved.\r\n Stephen's moniker: "The nicest, polite boy who could always instill a sense of comfort to people in any situation." Engaging and caring toward everyone he met, with no regard to race, religion or background, Stephen loved unconditionally anddefended with passion the downtrodden.\r\n He fought bravely the disease of addiction.\r\nStephen leaves behind his parents, Mark (Orawan) Goddard, Sandy andCamille Goddard (John Marciano), San Diego, Calif.: brothers, Andrew and Mathew Goddard, Salt Lake City, Sandy; grandparents, Brent and Francine Cook, Murray.\r\nA Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 14, 2018 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. A vigil service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday July 13, 2018 at Neil O\'Donnell & Sons Mortuary 372 East 100 South, Salt Lake City with family and friends viewing from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal: Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
