Consuelo G. Elizondo's Obituary
March 12, 1927 ~ February 20, 2016\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nFormer Salt Lake City, Utah resident passed away peacefully in Montgomery, Alabama surrounded by some of her loving family. Connie was born on March 12, 1927 in Delta, Utah to father, Eufracia Garcia, and mother, Tomasa Rodriguez. ? Preceded in death ?by her parents, seven brothers, five sisters, her husband, and two of her children.\r\n\r\nShe married Ralph Elizondo in 1948. ?Before his death, four years ago, they were inseparable and were known in their neighborhood for their kindness.? They had seven children: Joseph (deceased), Connie (Dick?, deceased?), Irene (Scott), Judy (LeRoy), Carol (Christopher), Gloria (deceased), Lenore (James). Survived by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nConnie ?worked at Holy Cross Hospital for twenty-three years in housekeeping. She was promoted to supervisor and worked for many years until she? retired. She ?loved ?to go on walks? to collect aluminum cans ?and was known as the "can lady."? She loved making tamales, tortillas?. "orange" rice, and cookies for her family when they would come to visit or for family barbeques. She enjoyed her time at Bear Lake with her husband, children and grandchildren.\r\n\r\nConnie suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for over ten years. Her family is deeply grateful ? to Irene and? Scott Kramer for providing her with constant loving care in their home after Ralph's death. The family would also like to thank Trenessa Thames and Sharon Redding who compassionately assisted with Connie's care on a regular basis.\r\n\r\nServices to celebrate her life will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 E. 100 S., where friends and relatives are invited to greet her family ?one hour prior to the service. ?Burial following the service at Mount Calvary Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.? A reception will be held afterwards at the home of LeRoy and Judy Martinez??.
