Gilbert Gregory Najera\r\n\r\n7/28/1954 - 4/17/2017\r\n\r\n62 Years Old\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur beloved brother, father, uncle, and friend passed away Monday April 17, 2017 at the Lodge with his friends and family at his side. Gilbert was a great man. He would do anything for anybody, Gilbert would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He was a hardworking man. He worked at the Wasatch Furniture for many years. That's when he really started to collect all of his nick nacs, he had a lot.\r\n\r\nGilbert worked until he injured his back. Gilbert had a great sense of humor always teasing, joking with everyone. He loved the outdoors, bike riding, camping, BBQS. He also love to dance and make everyone laugh and playing football with his godson Jerry and his children. Gilbert also enjoyed going to spend time with his cousin Richard in Ogden, UT. Gilbert loved his family and his children. He really enjoyed his bike rides up to City Creek and all the BBQS up there. The family would like to thank the staff at The Lodge for the wonderful care for Gilbert and the way they made his final days so peaceful. Gilbert his survived brothers & sisters Pete Najera, Juanita Ramon Sierra, Bonnie & Manual Martinez, Amparo & Rafael Vega, Tony Najera, Vickie & Gerald Padilla, Maxine & Eric Ortega, Elena & Cirilo Cano and Steven Najera, also godson Jerry Valdez Jr. Preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Consuelo Najera, brothers Eddie and Lupe Najera also his sister Cathy Najera-Miller.\r\n\r\nA Viewing and Vigil will be held Monday, April, 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary 372 East 100 South, where friends my call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, April 25 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) also at the mortuary.\r\n\r\n
