Adriano D. Martinez's Obituary
Adriano C.D. Martinez, age 79, died May 22, 2018. He was born on June 1, 1938 to Adriano and Ruth Sanchez Martinez in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was the Valedictorian of Bingham High School, Class of 1956, and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah. He was a United States Army Reservist, worked for Kennecott and Holy Cross Hospital, and retired from the Utah State Department of Transportation.\r\n\r\nAdriano was a man who found comfort in his solitude and sought a peaceful existence for those around him. He was able to overcome challenges in life through education and hard work. Adriano was a thoughtful man who took pleasure in arriving with the perfect gift or words of wisdom. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his sister, Libbie (Richard) Lobato, brother, Paul Martinez, sister-in-law, Norayda Martinez and many special nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Luis and Margaret Martinez, sister, Dolores Frenchik, and parents Ruth and Adriano Martinez.\r\n\r\nA funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane 1000 South). A vigil service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. also at the church, where friends may call from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
