Arthur S. Gaitin's Obituary
Our loving father Arthur S. Gaitin age 91 passed away April 22, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born March 14, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary Santillanes and Joseph Gaitin. Married Lily Montoya in Salt Lake City, Utah
He was a proud member of the Labors Union for over 30 years, Chevron Refinery and Salt Lake Housing Authority. Dad enjoyed watching the Utah Jazz, University of Utah Utes and especially sports and dance recitals his grandchildren were involved. His favorites were holidays, family gatherings, traveling, and his dedicated hours of Church volunteering. Survived by his wife Lily, children Judy Webb (Gene), Art Gaitin Jr. (Heidi) and Jim Gaitin. Grandchildren Cari Bakke (Steve), Niki Webb, Jamie Webb, Ondraya Watkins (Carelton), Shaun Gaitin (Emily), Danny Gaitin. Great Grandchildren, Courtney Gordon (Tyler), Caysie Bakke, Jordyn and Kamryn Groce, Sophea Webb, CJ and Tava Watkins, Kesra and Drew Gaitin, Kayli and JJ Gaitin. Great Great Grandchildren Demi Gordon, Jackson and Jeremy Gaitin, another one that is due July 2021, sister in law Mary Gaitin and many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by his parent’s, brothers Armand, Joe and Robert Gaitin. Sister Josie Gallegos, Grandson Jeremy Gaitin.
Services will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, 1375 East Spring Lane. Viewing and Rosary will be at 11:00, May 4, 2021 followed by mass at 12:00. Burial on May 5, 2021 at 12:00 at Elysian Garden 1075 East 4580 South for close family and friends, under the care of Neil O’Donnell.
