Bobbie Rose Lucero's Obituary
Bobbie (Bubba) Rose Lucero, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Our hearts are broken at the loss of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She will have a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Bobbie was born on April 1, 1959 in Montrose, Colorado to Paul and Toni Vigil. She was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where she dedicated her life to the nursing industry. Her devotion to her patients was admirable, her passion, her acts of love and compassion for her career came second nature. She loved unconditionally and her selflessness in everything she did was what made her so special. Her kind and gentle ways will be missed the most. Her contagious smile would light up any room. Her artistic ability and green thumb were unmatched. Her nurturing ways is what the world needed, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Bobbie, would say she was the embodiment of strength. Her will to live is an inspiration to so many. She loved spending her time crocheting gifts for her family while enjoying Country Music, Pro Wrestling and Bingo.
A dialysis patient of twelve years is a true testament of her strength. The family would like to thank everyone who provided in her loving care.
She was a mother of eight, a sister of six, a grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of four.
She has left a lasting impression on countless family and friends. Our mother was our hero and everything we would like to mirror. Her beauty was passed on to her children and grandchildren will be forever cherished. Her love story began when she met her husband, Michael Lucero, in 1980. It could be described as love at first sight. They were married October 7, 1981. Their bond of 41 years was a special one, their affection for each other is a memory that is strong.
She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future (Proverbs 31:25)
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Peter Lucero; children, Melissa Ann, Bobby Dean Vigil, Joseph Lucero; her parents, Paul and Toni Vigil; her brother, Simon "Cye" Vigil.
She is survived by her children, Danielle, Emanuel, Jason (Nansy), Anthony (Jasmine), Chelsea (Jason) Brauner; grandchildren, Marcus, Tiffany, Gabriel, Mariah, Venessa, Gianni, Romeo, Julian, Hailey, Bella, Lorenzo, Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Luna, Delyla, Luke, baby Bobby; Sisters, Geraldine "Jerri" (Mitch) Quintana, Maria Luz "Lucy" (Raymond) Payne, Pauline "Nina" (Herlindo) Aguilar, Marlene Vigil; Brother, Tony (Michelle) Vigil and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life and Rosary will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home 372 East 100 South Salt Lake City, Utah. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 670 South 1100 East Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery 275 T Street Salt Lake City, Utah.
