On behalf of the many women and children (and staff) at House of Hope who were encouraged, counseled and supported by Judge Christine Decker over the years, I express our deep gratitude for her life of compassion and service. She set an example every day of how to use your strengths and gifts to lift others and build healthy families and communities. In 2015, House of Hope awarded her our \"Light in the Window\" award, which truly exemplified her way of being in the world, personally and professionally. To those in challenging circumstances and even dark despair, she had that particular way of reaching out with respect, honesty and hope for the future. Many people looked up to her and learned from the way she demonstrated grace under pressure and commitment to principles of integrity and living a congruent life. Truly, she exemplified what she believed. Her life was her message and that message will live on in the hearts and minds of the people she served.
