Dale P Price's Obituary
Dale P. Price passed away on September 24, 2021. She was born on September 17, 1939 in Fall River, MA to Sue Szpunar and John Sweeney. She was married to Charles E. Price on August 1, 1959 at St Mary's Parish in Warren, RI.
Dale followed her husband in the Army for 22 years all over the world and many different states. They retired from Fort Douglas in 1978 and have been residents of Sandy, UT ever since. She worked as a beautician in Draper, and for the Jordan School District as a lunch lady. She was very active at Blessed Sacrament Church. She was involved with the Council of Catholic Women as President and on numerous committees. In 2002, Dale was selected as Woman of the Year for Blessed Sacrament. Her most enjoyable job was giving out the stuffed animals to the little children at the annual Easter egg hunt.
Survived by her husband Charlie, grandchildren Charles J. Price and Nicole Danielle Price, and great grandchildren Ivy and Lily Price. Preceded in death by son Charles (Chuck) Price, and parents John and Sue Sweeney.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S. 1700 E. Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held from 5pm-6pm on Thursday, Sept. 30 at Blessed Sacrament. Interment will take place at Utah Veterans Cemetery under the care of Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home immediately following the funeral Mass. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of St. Mark's Hospital ICU. They cared for Dale with love, respect, compassion, and professionalism.
