David R. Gillespie's Obituary
Our beloved Husband, Brother, Uncle, and "Cowboy," David Richard Gillespie, died peacefully, July 4th, in Salt Lake City. He was 92 years young. He was born March 17, 1925, in Tooele, Utah to Alex A. and Edna Mae Adamson Gillespie. He married Rosemary Polasek, on September 27,1977. They have shared 40 loving years together. David worked with his family at a Nursing Home in Tooele, worked at Tooele Army Depot, and loved and enjoyed the days he worked on a Ranch in Afton Wyoming. He loved horses, hunting and fishing. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a big smile on his face. He was loved by all of people at the nursing home - nurses, aides, housekeepers, cooks - and anyone he came in contact with during his life. He is missed by all of us. He loved his family, the Robinsons and the Gillespies. He is survived by, wife Rosemary Polasek Gillespie, sister-in-law Katherine Polasek Robinson, Franklin III and Dinah Robinson, Kristynia Robinson, Patrick and Jeanne Robinson, Steven and JinSook Robinson, Jeffery Robinson, James R. and Judy Gillespie, Cathleen and George Hutchings, Patrick and Pam Dunlavy, Howard Skip and Linda Dunlavy, Sue Gillespie Stavros and Dave Hoffman, and by 33 nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by, Father and Mother, Alex and Edna Gillespie, brother Leo A. and Mahala Gillespie, sisters Ruth and Woody Till, Helen and Howard Dunlavy, brother-in law Franklin D. Robinson, Jr., nephew Richard A. Gillespie.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nGraveside Services will be conducted by Skrzypiec, Rev. Andrzej "Father Andrew" on July 10, 2017, at 10:00 am, at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, address is 275 U Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. Go up Virginia street and west over to Avenue U.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWe are so thankful for the wonderful care David was given at Avalon Valley Rehabilitation.
