David J. Valdez's Obituary
David Jose "The Legend" Valdez\r\nJanuary 4, 1944 ~March 24, 2017\r\nDavid Valdez was a kind and fun loving man. He was giving and never hesitated to help a friend or family member in need. He had a very quirky, authentic personality. Often times he dubbed people with silly nicknames. His little "Jelly Bean" was the apple of his eye. He was fond of teasing people and making jokes. He found beauty and wonder in the world around him; God's perfect creation such as nature on earth, and the heavens above. He was fascinated by original trinkets, gadgets and gizmos. He loved to "bum around" the Rose Park Area in the "Little Smarty" or "Big Blue" (as he called his cars). He tapped his toes to 50's music but couldn't stand Elvis Presley. He enjoyed watching WWF Wrestling, fantasy, and cartoon shows particularly Sponge Bob Square Pants and Robot Chicken. David was loved by many and touched our lives in a significant way. His memory will live on in our hearts\r\nDavid is preceded in death by his mother Veronica Valdez-Ramirez & Brother Larry Valdez. He is survived by his children; Justina Valdez-Carruthers (Steve), David, Chris & Lisa Valdez-Grant (Troy). Siblings; Willie, Ilene & Jerry (Vanesa) as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren & many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Viewing & Rosary to be held Friday March 31 at 6 PM at Neil O'Donnell & Sons located at 372 East First South Salt Lake City. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at Neil O'Donnell and internment at Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum. Many thanks to the staff at The Lodge by Valeo for your care and support\r\n
