Derek Gonzales' Obituary
Derek Gonzales, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2022. He was born on December 17, 1965 in Salt Lake City to Delores Hernandez and David Ray Gonzales.
Derek was a loving son, father, grandpa, brother and friend to many. He always knew how to get a room laughing no matter the circumstances. He was kind and always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone who knew him knew he was a Raiders fan and he was proud of it! He has forever left an imprint on our heart's and will be greeted in heaven by his beloved son, father, grandpa, grandma and great friends.

In life I loved you dearly, In my heart you hold a place that no one could ever fill.
He is survived by his Mother, Delores; Daughter, Madeline; Son's, Eric; Alex, Frankie and Dominik; grandchildren, Elijah; Charlie and Lena; Siblings, Debbie and Veronica. He was preceded in death by his son, Andy and step-son, Kenny; Father, David; Grandpa, Juan; Grandma, Louise; Grandma, Lisada; Cousin, Eddie and Uncle, Manuel.
Derek's life will be Celebrated on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home 372 East 100 South Salt Lake City, UT 84111. A Viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed by a service at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery 200 N Street Salt Lake City, UT 84103. Please join us for a luncheon following the graveside service.
