Eddie Lee Chavez's Obituary
Eddie Lee Chavez, passed away at the age of 62 on October 2, 2022. He was born on August 22, 1959, in Murray, Utah to Victor and Alice Chavez. He was the third of five children. He was married and later divorced from Georgia Griego, who passed away prior to his death. He is survived by his long-time sweetheart, Debbie Sewell.
Eddie worked for UDOT as a painter and had many wonderful friends at his job that were more like family to him. He knew he could call any time he needed help, and they would come. Outside of work, before Eddie got sick, he loved to golf and spend time with friends. I would like to thank Marty, Bob, Jeff, Jose, and Jorge for always being there. I would like to thank Stewart Hart for being by his side and mine to help with all the last-minute things. You were like a son to him, and he loved and trusted you. I would also like to thank Wilfred for being there when Eddie needed to talk, and for being with him his last few days, it meant a lot to him. Eddie and I had a very close bond. He was more a father to me than anything as well as a grandfather to my son, and he will be missed dearly.
Eddie is survived by his daughter Angelina Demaine, granddaughter Paige, his niece Melanie Chavez, his nephew Isaac Chavez, nephew Chris Chavez (Kari Chavez), As well as many great nieces and nephews. Also survived by many wonderful friends that took the place of family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
