Eleanor M. Hebert's Obituary
Eleanor M. Hebert, 96 of Salt Lake City, died December 10, 2020. She was born May 8, 1924 in Petatlan, Mexico to Bernard and Maria Dimas Mecino McDonnell.
Eleanor married Joseph Morel Hebert on August 30, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas after being introduced to him by her brother, Ed. Joseph died November 29, 2008. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a devout member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church for nearly 40 years and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League. She was active in the senior fitness program, Silver Sneakers.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Kathleen) Hebert, Jr., and five grandchildren, Cory Christensen, Ryan (Ayana) Hebert, Erin Hebert, Kelly Hebert, and Damian Sandall. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Marie Canton, grandson, Brandon Minear, and three brothers, Edward, Henry, and Bernard McDonnell.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. A vigil service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Neil O’Donnell Funeral Home, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
