Erlinda Isaura Vigil's Obituary
1938 - 2017\r\nOur beautiful beloved wife, mother, grandmother/Nana, great grandmother, sister, and auntie passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017.\r\nErlinda, 79, was born April 28, 1938 in El Rito, NM to Roman and Irene Varoz Baca.\r\nOn July 27, 1960 she married her honey, Gus "Wedo" Medardo Vigil in El Rito. Shortly thereafter they moved to Salt Lake City, UT where together they raised six children that she was very proud of and loved with all her heart.\r\nIn 2002, Erlinda showed her strength and determination when she fought the battle with breast cancer and won.\r\nAs a wonderful, amazing wife and mother, she loved every possible second with her family. She enjoyed family BBQ's, Sunday football, word search puzzles, reading, and being devoted to the Catholic faith.\r\nErlinda's genuine smile will always be remembered, and everyone who met her was truly blessed to have known such an angel. She will be deeply missed by all.\r\nShe is survived by her husband; her children, Eric, Jeff, Mark (Donna), Ruth (Brian), Pam (Ezra), and Tara; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; her sister Madge and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Manuel and Carlos, her sister Amelia, and her grandson Markie Jr.\r\nA funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3560 West 3650 South. A vigil service will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
