Fred Gonzales' Obituary
Fred Gonzales, at the age of 86, passed away on July 23 at his home in Tooele County of natural causes. Fred was surrounded by his loved ones and went peacefully. Fred was born September 4, 1937 in Burmester, Utah to Soledad and Dario Gonzales. Fred was widowed by his wife Connie Gonzales, of 60 years, on March 22,2022.
Fred was born and raised in Burmester Utah, where he developed a passion for carpentry. Fred attended school at Grantsville grade school and then graduated from West High School. After high school Fred pursued his love for carpentry where he started helping build bridges and went on to successfully run and own his own business as a general contractor. Together, Fred and Connie, had 4 children, Fred Jr, Anna Maria, John David and Christian. Fred built a home in Lakeside, CA for Connie to her specifications, where she raised us children and later would help build the next generation, their very much loved grandchildren. In November 2008, Fred and Connie moved to Tooele, Utah. While in Utah Fred & Connie helped raise their grandchildren and reunited with Fred’s siblings. Fred always valued family, and offered help to anyone in need. Fred loved his sweets, dessert was always his favorite meal of the day. He often enjoyed fresh fruit covered in sugar.
Fred is survived by his children: Fred Jr, Anna Maria(Lori) John David, Christian. Brothers, George Gonzales, John Gonzales, and sisters Sara and Mary. Grandchildren: Daniel, Jacob, Alexis, Christianna, Yessica, Christian Jr., Yessenia. Great Grandchildren Wayatt, Lane, Dakota.
Services will be Tuesday, August 13th at Saint Patrick’s Catholic church at 11 am lunch will be served following.
