Fred W. Watford's Obituary
1943 - 2019\r\n Fred William Watford, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at home on April 29, 2019 surrounded by family.\r\n\r\n Fred was born on May 15, 1943 in Oakland, California to Kenneth and Gladys (Woodson) Watford. He was raised in Salt Lake City and at the young age of 17, in 1961 he joined the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country for four years.\r\n\r\n Fred married his soul mate, Agnes Marie Gutierrez May 26, 1965. Together they raised three daughters.\r\n\r\n Fred had a very brilliant and analytical mind. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and solving crossword puzzles. His true passion was making things out of wood. He made amazing toys and birdhouses. He was known around Rose Park as the bird house man.\r\n\r\n Fred is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, three daughters; Charlene (Victor) Trujillo, Christine (John) Hardy and Cheryl (Brent) Baggs, six grandchildren; Lena, Nick, Derek, Tori, Brooke and Carter. Also seven great grandchildren; Elena, Danijela, Conrad, Sofia, Isabella, Aviana and Dominick.\r\n \r\n The family wishes to thank Bristol Hospice for the excellent care they provided for Fred. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Fred's sister-in-law, Darlene Renteria for the endless hours she spent taking Fred and Agnes on errands.\r\n\r\n A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4th 1:00 pm at Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.\r\n
