Genevieve Coburn's Obituary
Geneviève Bussinger Coburn\r\n\r\n1922-2017\r\n\r\nGeneviève Bussinger Coburn joined her beloved husband, Royal, in eternal life March 9, 2017. She was born in Evron, France on January 6, 1922 to René and Marguerite Bussinger. She met the love of her life, Royal Varnum Coburn, in Germany at the end of World War II and was married November 6, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. She studied at Notre Dame de Sion, LeMans, France, Faculté de Droit, Université de Paris where she earned a bachelor degree in philosophy and law. She devoted her life to her family, friends, and her Catholic faith.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by four children; Monique (& Paul) Harris, Brent (& Magali) Coburn, John (& Lisa) Coburn, Michèle (& Denny) Huffman; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren; and five step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Royal; parents; and brothers André Bussinger and Dany Bussinger.\r\n\r\nA funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at St. Ambrose Church 1975 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Mass will be preceded by a rosary at 9:00 am in the church. Interment will follow the mass at Mount Calvary cemetery, 4th Ave and "T" Street.\r\n\r\nContributions can be made to The Good Samaritan Program (The Cathedral of the Madeleine, http://utcotm.org/gsp-good-samaritan-program) in her honor.
