Georgia Phillips Dennis' Obituary
02-23-1925 ~ 12-26-2017\r\n\r\nIn the winter of her life, our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt left this world behind to reunite with her parents and son. Georgia was born to Carmino (Fellicetti) and Katherine Malito Phillips on February 23, 1925, the middle of three daughters. Georgia grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado. She married Jesse Dennis and after the birth of their first son moved to Utah. Two more sons came to complete the family. Georgia divorced and became a single mother determine to give her sons all that was in her power. Georgia's priority was to care for and educate he boys. Through her hard work, she taught her sons the values in life they have passed on to their children. Love, perseverance, and giving your all in whatever you do. Georgia worked for Guadalupe Parish as housekeeper for Fr Kaiser. She watched two of her sons go into the military during the Vietnam Conflict and never stopped worrying until they were home safe again. Georgia worked for Harmon's KFC and retired after 25 years service. Georgia made many lifelong friendships, and sadly outlived many. High Schools Reunions were events Georgia attended even some 45 yrs after graduation. Georgia was so proud of her Italian heritage and passed her traditions on to her sons and grandchildren. She was so proud of the lives her sons made for themselves and their families. She was a feisty grandma at the grandchildren's sporting events, at times was even asked to pipe down or be escorted from the game. Georgia was devoted to her catholic faith and served many years on funeral luncheons at St. Vincent's Parish. Georgia had a relaxing routine after retirement, but when health problems arose she moved to St George so David could keep an eye on her health and well being. We are sad to say a recent fall left her with a broken hip. She came through the surgery fine, but within a day her heart said it was done.\r\n\r\nGeorgia was preceded in death by her parents, her eldest son Carmen, ex-husband Jesse, and brothers-in law Roxy Ligrani and Fred Heinrich.\r\n\r\nGeorgia is survived by her sisters Frieda Ligrani, and Rose Heinrich both from Colorado, her sons Eugene (Linda, deceased) and David (wife Rae), and Carmen's wife Lennie. She also leaves behind eleven great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.\r\n\r\nA funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane 1000 South), where friends may call from 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. Committal, Mt.
