Holly Badham-VanKomen's Obituary
On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Holly Badham-VanKomen, beloved wife of Leo
VanKomen, passed away peacefully at Huntsman Cancer Institute after a hard-fought
struggle from complications of a trial ovarian cancer treatment.
Holly was born on a beautiful spring day of 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lynn and Carol
Badham and was the second of six children. She was raised in Bountiful, Utah and is a
graduate of the Bountiful High School Class of ’69. Her continued education focused on
legal assistant studies, accounting, and financial management.
Holly married Leo, the love of her life, and they enjoyed 38 years together.
When she wasn’t working you would find them on their boat fishing, jet skiing, 4 wheeling around the mountains in Fruitland on their ATV or cheering a Ute’s football game. Holly played hard and worked passionately. She was a successful businesswoman and partner in several businesses. Her expertise in understanding the finance industry helped many pursue their business dreams.
Holly was preceded in death by her beloved dogs Missy and Cody, Brother-in-law, Alan
Keddington, Grandparents and many Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her husband Leo, stepsons, Mark and Luke VanKomen, her parents
Lynn and Carol Badham, her siblings, Julie Keddington, Gail (Lenny) Goodwin, Tina
(Sorob) Pourtahmassebi, Joyce (David) Montgomery, Dave (Marilyn) Badham and 39
nephews and nieces who will miss her dearly.
Holly was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. Knowing of the joyful reunion with
family and friends on the other side brings those of us left behind much comfort.
