Jake Martinez's Obituary
\r\n\r\n\r\nSeptmeber 25, 1940 - May 27, 2018\r\nHe was born in Capulin, Colorado to Epifanio Martinez and Elena Valdez. Married Clara Gallegos, together they had four children.\r\nJake loved to ride his Harley Davidson and go deer hunting. He also enjoyed helping others by fixing their cars. Hobbies were reading western novels and tending to his garden. Served in the Army and later in the Air Force Reserves. Retired from Hill Air Force Base after 25 years of service.\r\nJake was preceded in death by his wife Clara, daughter Helen and son Victor, brothers Eppy Jr. and Tony.\r\nSurvived by son Leroy Jr. (Janet) daughter Veronica, grandchildren Patrick (Amy), Anthony (Connie), Nicole (Hector), Meranda, Ashlee, Alexia, Andrea, Brija, Kalen, Misty, and Jenny, brothers Robert and Eddie and sister Irene.\r\nWe want to thank the staff at City Creek Acute Rehab for the loving care they gave to Jake in his final days.\r\nA Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday June 1, 2018 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1040 West 400 South, Salt Lake City.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
