Jay Busch's Obituary
Jay was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 20, 1954 to John and Lois Busch. Jay passed away at home in the early morning hours of the 17th returning home to the loving arms of our heavenly father.
Jay Graduated from West High School in 1972. After high school Jay followed in his father’s footsteps joining the Armed Forces (Army). After 6 years of military service Jay moved on to become a concrete cowboy driving for Roadway Express for the next 30 years. If it had wheels and a motor, he could drive it. If it had a trailer, he could back it. After meeting and exceeding his years of service for Roadway Express, Jay ventured on to buy his own rig, a 04 Peterbilt with a 379 CAT. This truck would lead on to Jay being called “Grandpa Big Truck” by all his grandchildren. Jay drove for Landstar under the owner operator tag for several years before fully retiring from driving over the road. After retirement he ventured on dabbling in the landscape business, where is services were heavily sought after.
Jay was very handy; he could fix almost anything especially when it came to automotive work. He loved working on his trucks, boats and his 1921 T-bucket. He always said, “He who dies with the most toys wins”. I think you won Dad, not just with toys but with life.
Jay enjoyed the outdoors in any form, but what he loved most was camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Jay was also an avid Raiders and Dodgers fan. “Just Win Baby”
He was a great mentor for is children in all facets of life. His Children and Grandchildren meant the world to him and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them.
We all love you and will miss you forever.
We as a family would like to give a special thanks to Quality Hospice team for there care. Thank you, Julie and team.
