Joe Levi Roybal's Obituary
Joe L. Roybal, at the age of 85, passed away at home on June 26, 2021. He was born March 5, 1936 in Penasco, New Mexico to Amalia Martinez and Amado Roybal. He married the most wonderful woman in the world, Mary Randall Roybal, on November 24, 1956, in Salt Lake City. Our beloved Mary was the center of his life. He is now reunited with his love as they watch over and protect us.
Joe enjoyed his life fishing, hunting, and eating green chile, beans and the best tortillas made by his wife with his family. He taught us valuable skills that we now pass on to the next generation. Joe always took care of his family and he taught us to work hard and to do the same. He was a retired Union Roofer from Local 91. His bright light lives on through Evangela Roybal, Arlene Chavez, Lisa Valdez, Jennifer Drage, April Williams, his twenty grandchildren, and countless great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, his sons Danny and Jessie, grandsons Stevie and Jessie Jr, granddaughters Ashley and Diane Mary, and his great-grandson Luciano.
