I first met John while he was playing the fiddle in the stairwell at PDX.Over the years, my wife and I met up with John, after he moved to SLC. We had some good times and stayed in touch until the end of his life, here on Earth. We miss him terribly and hope to see him, somewhere in the Cosmos, with all of our cats. RIP my friend, you were GREAT!
Hi my name is Margaret Leary I wanted to do my little memory of John. He was such a great friend and neighbor! He was one of those people who would give you the shirt off of his back if he had too! He was always willing to help anyone and anybody in need of help! One of the things he was always around to help my sweet mom after my sweet dad passed away. He would help her by helping her carry her groceries in! Then also in the Winter time he would come and shovel snow for mom! John was the greatest friend and neighbor! He was always so Happy and Cheerful! When the weather was good he would be seen out riding his his bike around the neighborhood and other places. John totally loved the outdoors! Before he passed away I asked him if their was some little trinket or something he would give me of his, so I'd have something to remember him by! So he gave me this cute cat that looked alot like his cat Wally when the cat was still alive.So now now I have something to remember him from and it means alot to me! John will definitly be missed in our neighborhood by many friends and people! I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him! Rest In Peace John,God be with you till we meet again!
John, aka Jean, was a truly remarkable soul. He will be remembered for his joie de vivre and his desire to live life to the fullest. Some of the things we shared were a love of anything French, our cats, and traveling.
His presence on earth will be missed. He often corresponded to me in French.
