June Valene Lubeck's Obituary
June Lubeck passed away peacefully on March 3, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 78. Born on August 23, 1944 to James D. Vincent Sr. and Eugenia McCullough Vincent in Salt Lake City Utah. She was the youngest of 4 children and only daughter. June was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bill McCullough, Monte Vincent, and Dell Vincent.
She enjoyed many hobbies which included bowling, crocheting, camping, crafts, traveling and of course spending time with her friends, kids, and grandkids. She grew up always having pets and loved all of them through her life, most of all her dog Fluffy. One of her first jobs was with Walcott optical. Her boss at the time gave her the nickname of Junebug. This stuck and she used it throughout her life. In her early 20’s she was introduced to bowling by her brother Monte (Bubba) and continued to bowl through her life until 2019. During her years of bowling, she won several first-place trophies as well as state championships in women’s doubles. She was on many different teams where she developed lifelong friends. This is also where she met her greatest friend and husband of 56 years.
June and Carl were married in Salt Lake on September 12, 1966. They welcomed there first daughter Michelle a few years later which was then followed exactly three years later by the birth of their son Jason. They welcomed another daughter Danielle, several years later. June stayed home to raise her kids until 1984, when she went back to work as an office manager with her brother Monte, which just happened to share a building with her other brother Dell’s business. She continued to work here until her retirement in 2009. During this time, she enjoyed spending time traveling as well as any opportunity to spend time with her kids and grandkids and friends.
June is survived by her husband, Carl. Daughter’s Michelle (Dean) Edwards, Danielle (Terry) Hammer, son Jason (Mandy) Lubeck. Grandkids, Mitch, Jessica, Bryson, Kendra, Abby, Allison, Katelin, and Tyler. Great-grandson, Major.
A viewing will be held from 6pm-8pm on Thursday March 9th and Friday March 10th from 11:00-11:30 am. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 10th at Neil O’Donnell Funeral Home from 11:30 am to 12:30pm. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
