Kim Renae Martinez Pyle's Obituary
Kim Renae Martinez (55) of Salt Lake City passed away Saturday March 5th surrounded by her loving son and daughter. Kim reunited with her mother and brother, whom she so dearly missed everyday. Kim fought a very hard battle of heart problems within the last year. During this last year, Kim became closer to God, grew very close to her children/grandchildren and really got a second chance at life that she took full advantage of.
Kim was born and raised in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Highland High School. She had a son and a daughter. She loved being a mom to her two children and did everything she could to provide for them throughout their entire lives and sometimes that meant working two jobs. Kim was raised as a Catholic and received all her Holy communions. She loved Jesus and knew who her savior was. Kim did hair for a living for over 35 years and she LOVED IT—which happens to be an understatement. It brought her so much joy in making her clients feel beautiful about themselves and she was darn good at it. Truly she felt that each and every one who sat in her salon chair, she thought was beautiful--not just on the outside but also on the inside! She genuinely cared about others' happiness and could talk for hours with you. She was so selfless and would do anything to put a smile on your face. For this we will all truly miss the light that Kim had in all our lives!
The strength Kim had throughout her entire life never went unnoticed. She was strong headed and would do anything she set her mind to with grace and spontaneity. Whatever she was doing it was always with spunk and...maybe a little bit of animal print. Anytime Kim entered the room, which was always in style (hair done up, makeup on point, beautifully dressed to impress, high heels, perfume, etc—you name it!), you immediately would get a smile on your face because you knew today was going to be a good day with Kim there. She had the most contagious laugh that would make you laugh with her even if you didn't feel like laughing that day. Heaven surely gained the world's most beautiful angel!
Kim is survived by her father Wilfred Martinez; Brother Rick (Geri) Martinez; Her children Tikki Gurr, Kiesha (Terence) Moores; 2 granddaughters; 1 grandson on the way and many nephews and nieces who loved her dearly. She so deeply loved her children and her grandbabies. They were always her biggest pride and joy in life! Her grandchildren will always remember their fun loving Lita as she spoiled them and loved on them every chance she could get. Kim was preceded in death by her mother Mary Ann Martinez and brother Robert Martinez.
