Linda Josephine Miera's Obituary
Linda Miera's tenure on this earth came to a close on Saturday, November 5, 2022 when she returned to the loving arms of her husband, daughter and three sisters, following a battle with cancer. She was 82 years old.
Linda was born on March 16, 1940 in Grand Junction, Colorado. She moved to Utah with her grandparents where she met and married her husband, Joe, in 1959. They built their life in West Valley City and together had four children: Joe, Rudy, Kathy and Lynne.
Linda was the loving matriarch and glue of her family. She loved to take care of her children and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never letting a holiday go by uncelebrated. Whether it was coloring Easter eggs, carving pumpkins or building gingerbread houses, she always went out of her way to make sure her family was together making special memories.
Her family will miss her bold and fiery spirit. She will live in every holiday and every special occasion and every recipe we try to recreate in her honor that will never be as good as hers. She will be missed endlessly.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Miera, daughter, Lynne Miera and Sisters; Sophie, Kathy and Belle. She is survived by her brothers, John Martinez (Roberta), Leo Leonard, Oggie Leonard, her twin sons; Joe (Jackie) and Rudy (Geneva), her daughter, Kathy (Dean), 12 Grandchildren, Mikey (Lisa), Victoria (Travis), Rudy Matthew, AnnMarie (Will), Kiley (Alexander), MaKinley (Steven), Kayla (Devin), Kevin, JayMarie, Christopher, Gabbi and Jaden; 8 Great-Grandchildren (Tacoma, Phenix, Dayton, Rhio, Isla, Ozzy, Ellis and Atlas).
