Loretta Jean Bagarozzi Radka's Obituary
Loretta Jean Bagarozzi Radka was born on January 25, 1937 in Buffalo, NY to Frank Bagarozzi and Ada Marie Bagarozzi (née Whelan). She passed away on May 20, 2022 in her home surrounded by love.
In May 1957 she married Charles John Radka (later divorced). Together they had four children. She dedicated herself to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She worked 36 years as a CNA and cared deeply for her patients. A proud Italian matriarch; she lived by the saying, “blood is thicker than water” and would do anything for her family. A devout Catholic, her faith saw her through many hardships in life. Her “sauce” was beyond compare. She loved the Utah Jazz, Olive Garden, strawberry cheesecake, KFC, and a cold beer. She bowled on a league until this year and loved her team “Grandma & The Boys.” She was everyone’s favorite Grandma and the center of our world. Rest easy Mama , until we meet again.
Preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Radka, grandson Phillip Matthew McLaughlin, sisters Katherine, Florence, and Marie, brothers Joseph, Anthony, Frank, Jack, and Casey.
Survived by daughter Charlene (Larry), son Charles (Chandra), and daughter Christine(Bryan). Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are being held June 2, 2022 at Neil O’Donnell Funeral Home located at 372 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. Viewing from Noon to 1:00 immediately followed by a funeral service. Internment will follow at Redwood Memorial Estates 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Taylorsville, Utah 84123 at 3:30 pm. The family will be serving dinner at 5:30 pm in celebration of Loretta’s life at 3584 W. Johnson Creek Cove, Riverton, Utah.
