Lorna Simbulan Means' Obituary
Lorna Simbulan Means, age 89, passed away on July 7, 2022 at Meadow Peak Memory Care in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on December 17, 1932 in Manila, Philippines to Aurora Rivera and Bermundo Santos Simbulan Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Means on February 7, 2009.
Lorna was married three times and devotedly cared for each spouse through their health issues until their deaths. In her late twenties, she adventurously moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and worked as an accountant and later met her first husband, Simon Lakatos. Her passions included gardening, especially tending her roses, baking and watching her soap operas and talk shows. She loved her family deeply and never ever forgot to send each person heartfelt yearly birthday and Christmas cards.
She is survived by her Brother-in-law, Ricardo Concepcion; Nieces, Jocelyn Azarcon (Bill Traynor) and Liza Concepcion Julien (Roger Julien); Nephew, Jose Azarcon Jr. (Cinaman Azarcon); Grandnieces, Presley Azarcon and Cassidy Azarcon and Grandnephew, Stone Azarcon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Letty Azarcon (Jose Azarcon, Sr.) and Lydia Concepcion; her brother, Bermundo Simbulan Jr., and grandnephew, Wyatt Azarcon.
Graveside committal service will take place on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery located at 275 U Street Salt Lake City, UT 84103 under the direction of Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home.
