Lorraine Q. McCaleb's Obituary
Lorraine Q. McCaleb (Tia)\r\n1938-2016\r\nLorraine Q. McCaleb, our loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on October 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 22, 1938 to Jose E. and Camilla Quintana in Durango, Colorado. Lorraine grew up with her siblings and graduated from Ignacio High School in '59. She raised her family and worked for John Manville as a machinist for 22 years in Tucson, Arizona. She moved to Salt Lake City, UT to live with her sister, Mary Gonzales for the past 8 years. She loved spending time with her sister and all of her nephew and nieces. She often told us how much she cherished her sister who cared for her and how grateful she was to be around people that loved her. She loved to go shopping and out to dinner. Lorraine was so humble, had a positive attitude, and appreciated everyone around her. She truly ensured that each and every person that walked in the room with her felt special and she always the first to compliment them. She had such a beautiful soul and will leave a void in many hearts and lives. This world was a better place when she was here.\r\nShe leaves her two children Jerry Alan McCaleb and Rhonda McCaleb, sister Mary E. Gonzales, brother Charlie (Betty) Quintana, and her extended family that love her deeply and helped care for her; nephews Ray (Evie) Gonzales, Andy Joe (Chris) Gonzales, nieces Shirley (Eli) Martinez, Deanna (Ron) Bray, Tisha (Bill) Kirth and all of their children.\r\nPlease join us in celebrating Lorraine's life from 2pm-4pm at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 100 South 372 East. Following the celebration refreshments will be served. Location to be announced.
