Marlene Ida Esta Baker's Obituary
Marlene Ida Esta Baker
1939 ~ 2023
The Best
You had reached the end of your journey in life,
exhausted all your traveling goals and accomplished
your shopping missions and ‘GEM’ show attendances.
With tearful eyes and at the request of your dear
Mother Alma, Father Albert J, and your brother Don,
into the command of their hands they took you into
the peaceful heavens; where you will rest in peace for
eternity-although your Golden Heart will still beat
with us.
Passed away May 18, 2023, at the age of 84, from
natural causes. Marlene was born April 03, 1939, in
Rugby, North Dakota to Alma Srur Esta and Albert J
Esta. Marlene was married and is the wonderful
Mother of Robert M Baker. One year into your life;
you moved to Butte, MT. in 1940, before finally
settling in Salt Lake City, UT, in 1944. She graduated
from South High School, in 1957.
Our dear Mother and Sister was a gracious lady, kind
and very generous to her friends and family. She was
a skilled shopper in particular her love of clothes; not
to mention she was and an avid Jewelry consumer
where she loved to attend her GEM shows. She was
also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
where she was involved in many of the activities,
functions, and organizations to help maintain the
stabilization of the Church.
Marlene is renowned for her honesty, loyalty, and
hard-working ethics, where she worked her entire
career as a head bank teller in the Banking industry.
She was also a good friend to a community of friends
she developed through her brother Richard, where
she was also known as his side kick. We can’t go
without mentioning her long time best friend Lynn
Patrick (recently passed), where she enjoyed weekly
lunches and a lot of traveling events.
Survived by her only Son Robert and her brother
Richard along with a host of wonderful friends and
family relatives who reside in North Dakota.
A special thanks to the Capitol Hill Senior Living
center and to Doctor Nicholas Brening.
At Marlene's request there will be no services.
