Mary Lou Gallegos' Obituary
1946 - 2017\r\nOur beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 15, 2017 due to cancer and other complications.\r\nMary Lou was born on April 12, 1946 in Questa, NM to George LaCome and Virginia Cisneros. She grew up in Midvale, UT and graduated from Hillcrest High School. She met her husband Leonard at a St. Patrick's Day dance and later they married in 1967. They enjoyed 50 years of Wedding bliss and raised their family in Taylorsville, UT. She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years and retired from Zions Bancorporation. Mary Lou's passion was her family, including going to baseball games, dance competitions and other family activities. Her love for her children and their welfare was her upmost priority. Mary Lou was regarded as the original baseball and dance mom. She was very active in her children's activities and was always very supportive of them.\r\nHer passion grew with her 7 grandkids. She was very influential in their upbringing and early lives, and instilled many family values in each of them. Her greatest characteristic in life was her strength and love for all. She was a fighter, and overcame many health issues in her life, to reach her 50th wedding anniversary this past summer.\r\nPreceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia LaCome , survived by the love of her life Leonard, her 3 siblings Larry, Annette, Ellen, and her children Tom (Tracy), Troy, Tanya (Zak) and her 7 grandchildren, Parker, Ashlee, Marcus, Presley, Avery, Teegan, and Rylee.\r\n\r\nViewing will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at Neil O'Donnell Mortuary, 372 East 100 South SLC, UT, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.\r\nMom, you will be forever loved and missed. You are now free from your pain and suffering, and soaring with the Angels.\r\n\r\nRest in peace until we all meet again.
