Mary Angelina "Angie" Sanchez-Carrillo's Obituary
Our Beautiful Mother Mary Angelina “Angie” Sanchez -Carrillo, age 92, died peacefully at home on Friday May 13, 2022. Angie was born on April 27, 1930 in Laramie Wyoming to Theodora Candelaria and Alfred Sanchez. She is survived by her Eight Children, who made up the entirety of her world, Kathryn Medina (Keith Whetstone), Lari Chapman, Debra Casey (Patrick), Mae Palacios (Juan), Ted Carrillo, Richard Carrillo, Michelle Carrillo and Jeff Carrillo, and 3 siblings Ron, Joe and Christina Sanchez. Angie was a Grandmother to 25 grand children, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grand children all of whom she knew by name.
The oldest of 12 siblings Angie had many responsibilities as a young woman. Always helping her parents with household duties, cooking, cleaning to delivering the last of her three siblings. Angie became a mother herself at the age of 20. As a mother she shared her incredible talents with her children and family - sewing, holiday baking, caring for the under dog and infusing her Hispanic culture into her family life.
Angie was a loving and generous person. She never hesitated to open her home to those in need. We will miss Angie’s liveliness, sense of humor, tenacity and her ability to pick up lifelong friends everywhere she went. We love you dearly Mom.
Angie is preceded in death by her husband Ben Carrillo, Parents Teddy and Coco Sanchez Siblings Danny Sanchez, Jay Sanchez, Mae Quintana, Nancy Valerio, Kenny Sanchez, Patrick Sanchez and many dear friends .
A celebration of life will be held Thursday May 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Neil O’ Donnell Funeral Home 372 East 100 South SLC, UT 84111.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday May 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady Guadalupe Church (257 North 700 West SLC, UT. 84116 ) Interment will follow mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
