My gramps was loving and caring. His smile would light up any room. His tender heart would always make you know how special you were to him. He loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, those early mornings getting his boiled eggs, diet Pepsi’s and of course, kipper snacks. Whether he’d be fixing his fishing poles or cleaning out his rifles he was always so happy at those moments. Max was a hard-working humble man; concrete was his all time love. He worked concrete his whole life. He enjoyed working and teaching his sons and grandsons everything he knew about it. He started a business Kelly Concrete along with his sons, which was his pride and joy. Max was well known around Salt Lake Valley for his dedicated work.
Max and family just went together perfectly, he enjoyed every moment being around everyone. He adored his grandkids; he knew we were the ones that would carry on the strength of his name as we grew up. His great grandkids were the light of his life. He always talked about all of them, not one of them he forgot, he always wanted to see them, and how much he missed and loved them.
Gramps loved his music, he would sit in his room TV full blast and whether it be Country, Reggaeton, Cardi B or JLO always tapping his leg enjoying the music, smiling. He would get his guitar and play along with whatever beat came on.
My grandpa was a great man, an amazing worker, great father, fantastic grandpa. He will truly be missed by everyone.
I would like to thank my kids Marisol (Ruby) and JR the way you stepped up and took care of gramps. They always helped with no hesitation. Also, to his dr, Dr. Muhlestein, MD, Thank you so much for all of your care and keeping my grandfather here as long as you did, you my friend are amazing.
