1964 ~ 2017\r\nMichael Gene Triptow, a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle, died September 29, 2017, at the of age 52, from medical complications, surrounded by his family. Born December 21, 1964 to Charles Gary Triptow Sr. and Mildred Lois Kaiser in Salt Lake City, Utah the third child. Michael received loving and constant care from his sister, Michelle Triptow, and various medical personnel until his last breath. Assisted by his daughter Janielle Ziv. From his youth, Mike was fascinated in the mechanics of how things work from a watch to a car engine. He was often found creatively taking things a part and building something new. He found great joy in such endeavors. Mike's vocation was a heavy machine operator. He loved restoring cars and it was his favorite hobby. He was cherished by his family and will be greatly missed. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents. Mike is survived by his children, Janielle Ziv and Anthony Triptow; his three grandchildren; his parents; his four siblings; and his uncles, aunts, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Sunday October 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary 372 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to the service
