Reed F. Iverson's Obituary
Reed F. Iverson set sail for the last time on November 3,2024 at 99 years of age. A Navy man to the end.
He was born on June 12th, 1925, to Emmanuel and Josephine Iverson. He, along with his six siblings, grew up in the Sugarhouse area. Dad joined the Navy at 17 years of age in May of 1943. He served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged in April of 1946. He always said, “There is no better country than America.”
Dad met and married Ann Kink on October 11, 1947. They have four children: David Iverson (Yoli) Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Carol Moyar San Pablo, CA, Brenda Reynosa La Mesa, CA, and Debra Dyer (Phil) Salt Lake City, UT. He always said, “I have the best wife and kids in the world.”
Dad was the epitome of a businessman. He owned 3 service stations and had dedicated customers and service contracts with Mountain Bell, US Post Office and Utah Power & Light. He was able to build his own “auto and body shop” providing excellent customer service for over 40 years. Thanks to Ron Simar for his years of service at Dad’s Shop.
His wife Ann, parents and siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his 4 Children, 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great, Great Grandchildren.
A special thanks to the staff at Legacy Village of Sugarhouse. Brandi, Katrina, Ximena, Nya, Omar, Jack, Jordan, and John – thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gentle and constant care of our Dad. Your watchful eyes over our Dad during his final few days was a true expression of love for him. Our Dad always said, “they are so good to me.” Thanks also to Nikki -Dad’s hospice Nurse and Laura – Dad’s hospice CNA who helped Dad and his family.

Funeral Services – A viewing will be held on November 16th, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm at Neil O’Donnell Mortuary 372 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah with burial to follow at Wasatch Lawn 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
