Joann A Schlosser
Father Hart was our pastor when we were stationed in Germany and a dear, DEAR friend. He was a regular presence in our home. He used to sing to our children and loved the pot of soup I made for him every week. His successor as our pastor, on seeing my face light up when he walked in unexpectedly, said he hoped he had that effect on someone. I have a beautiful letter from his time in Kuwait which in essence said that he was restricted to post except for official business. He said nothing could be more official than to be about \"his Father\'s business\" when he left the compound to administer the sacraments to local Christians who were without Catholic clergy. \r\n\r\nI was a new Catholic convert when we met and he formed me into the person I am today. I thank God for the long life he gave Father and look forward to seeing him when I pass through that thin veil that separates us.
