Susan Dickerson Lyman's Obituary
Susan (Dickerson) Lyman was born on August 25, 1970 and passed away August 18, 2021 after experiencing complications related to surgery.
Susan and her family moved to Dutch John in 1981. She attended Flaming Gorge Elementary and graduated from Manila High School. Susan was very active in sports and made the All-State Volleyball team her Senior year. She attended SUU receiving credits for an Associate Degree. Susan loved to help people and her choice of work reflected this. Throughout her life she worked mainly as a CNA, but also a certificated hematologist and a massage therapist.
Susan’s life, as is true of each of us, was full of joys and difficulties. Muscular Dystrophy complicated her life the last 15 years. She dealt with adversity with honesty, dignity and honor, never complaining or asking anyone to feel sorry for her. She set a high example for us to follow. Susan was extremely proud of her children and the people they have become. She greatly valued each of them and always knew what was going on in their lives.
No public funeral services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory should be given to the charity of your choice. The family will appreciate your prayers.
Services were provided by Neil O’Donnell Funeral Home.
