Theda P. Mawod's Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Theda P. Mawod passed away on the evening of April 10th 2018. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 5th 1934 to Dimitrios (Jim) Panos (deceased) and Mary Farell Panos (deceased). She married Edward J. Mawod on February 26th 1959. \r\n\r\nShe graduated from West High while working at her first job at the Star Theater. After briefly attending college at the U of U, she worked in the brokerage business where she met her husband Ed. Over the years she worked at numerous jobs, including the Episcopal Church and the Williams Company from which she retired. Theda loved the sun, she enjoyed fishing, golfing and shopping but mostly shopping. She was truly the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She was the consummate matriarch of her family, hosting annual family holidays and gatherings.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband Edward J. Mawod (of 59 years); daughter Michele (Jeff) Cline; grandchild Nathan (Donell) Cline and great granddaughter Callie. Of all the things she loved in life, she cherished her family the most; to include her brother George (deceased) and his wife Sally Panos (deceased), including their 7 children and their families, also her cousin Tulla Giffis and family. \r\n\r\nTheda's celebration of life will be held Sunday April 15th 2018 at the Marriott University Park Hotel, 480 Wakara Way, SLC UT 84108. 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Directors, Neil O'Donnell and Sons.
