January 21, 1930- November 11, 2016\r\nVirgil Benton, Jr., 86, of Anacortes, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 21, 1930 in Danville, KY, the son of Virgil and Bulah (Harmon) Benton, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jennie Disorbio; sons, Paul (Tami) and Peter (Sandy) Benton; daughter, Susan (Roy) Skollingsberg; grandchildren, Elleisha Knowlton, Scott Redington, Ryan Skollingsberg, Shannon Terry, Jason Skollingsberg, Brandon Benton, Joshua Benton, Angela VanAlstine, Tiffany Hammon and Natalie Mallory. 30 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by two children Mary Anne Benton Redington and Russell Benton. A Rosary Service was held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anacortes. A viewing will held from 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South. Committal with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave. and 'T' Street in Salt Lake City, UT.\r\n
