Virginia Rae Jepson's Obituary
“Your wings were ready but our hearts were not”
Our beautifully spirited, Virginia Rae Jepson decided to leave this world on June 30, 2022 at the amazing age of 102. She left just as she lived, on her own terms while sleeping peacefully. Virginia was born on February 21, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Mary Wright Seal and Raymond Simpson Foster. She married Raymond Jepson on November 27, 1944, who proceeded her in death in 1976.
Virginia was the family caretaker to so many, it was something that just seemed to come naturally to her, and for that we are all forever thankful. She had such a huge, wonderful heart, opening her home to anyone who just needed a safe place to land. She offered love and comfort without judgment and was often our calm in a world filled with chaos. She taught us to be our authentic selves, with no filters at times and hopefully left us better people than when we arrived.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond Jepson, four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son Jack (Lori) Jepson, her daughter Vicky (Carl) Nesbitt. One surviving sister, Sheryl Babalis, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 31 great, great grandchildren as well as many very special nieces and nephews.
Our lives will forever be changed without you in it, but your legacy of kindness will continue to live on. We love you!
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Neil O'Donnell Funeral Home with a
Graveside Service to follow at 11:30 at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
