The first time I met Betty was when she was yelling at me and another friend of Nick's as we were hanging their backyard chairs and an empty barrel of beer in the backyard tree. I was scared to go back for a couple of weeks. When I did she told me that if I wanted to decorate her trees I could help Nick decorate for Christmas.
I loved going over to see Betty and help her give Nick a hard time, unless it was race day and then I knew to just wave and smile.

Betty I am sorry I was not able to figure out why Nick had to leave us so soon. I hope you now know and understand why.

I dearly loved this lady. She was so caring and loving to all the aides she worked with and was such an advocate for all the patients we served in home care when I worked with her. First meeting her, I was a bit intimidated, but soon learned she was "a loving teddy bear" (my name for her). I know she will be missed...sending love to her family. Karen Hardwick

I had the privilege of growing up around Betty as her daughter Sue was, and continues to be, one of my best friends. What a firecracker! I Ioved her quick wit and especially her sarcasm. She could word spar with the best of them. Thanks for all the belly laughs Betty. Rest in peace.....or give 'em hell up there!

I also had the privilege of working with Betty for many years at Home Care. So enjoyed her unique sense of humor, directness (always knew where you stood with Betty!) and her amazing way of summing up any situation with those same attributes and, when necessary, a decent dose of snark! We shared a love for Christmas and this country as well as a fierce love for our families. People like Betty are rare and wonderful! Janet McConkie

I loved working with Betty at Homecare. I will always remember her care and devotion to her aides. I remember one year when IHC announced a Christmas gift she burst into years because she knew how much that would help her hard working aides. God Bless Betty and bring her family comfort.
