I am sad for myself to learn of Roger's passing, but rejoice in his latest commission to Starfleet. I will watch for the lights in the night and dream of galaxies he may see. Many years ago, Roger took a cab I had been carrying around for years, a black Onyx with a white band dipping across the face, in waves. Roger saw the meaning right away; he knew it was the sign of water in the mountain, a spring, bringing life to the desert below. He set it in a silver ring with the signs of water and mountains. From an old salt; Fair Winds and a Following Sea, Roger. Enjoy your journey into the unknown. Bob Barquist, Mesquite, Nevada. 7-4-2022
